More North Carolina Teachers Join Quest Atlantis (QA)

With support from Food Lion stores, The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (DPI) Instructional Technology Division (ITD), and One Planet Education Network (OPEN), are pleased to bring the Quest Atlantis (QA) 3D Learning Environment to North Carolina schools. QA was initially offered to 60 North Carolina classrooms in the spring of 2007. But due the success of the program and further support from Food Lion, OPEN, NC ITD, and now through our partner Indiana University School of Education - the MacArthur Foundation, the program is growing past 350 classrooms toward our goal of providing QA to all 4-8th classrooms in the State.

Through this generous donation from Food Lion, these teachers will receive accounts for all of their students. This will include 2 years worth of unlimited access to Quest Atlantis curricula, implementations resources such as novels and trading cards, online and face-to-face professional development, ongoing implementation support, and a customized Teacher Toolkit that aligns Quest Atlantis curriculum to the North Carolina State standards.

For today’s digitally-savvy generation of school children, this technology will help make education more interesting and engaging. Interested North Carolina school teachers should visit the Quest Atlantis Website – www.questatlantis.org and submit a Teacher/Facilitator Inquiry Form to get on our NC QA program enrollment list.
